Everything started with a sketch and then it came up to this, and once again; I find it quite cute . Not much to tell about this one actually, but I can tell you that this was my first time using watercolors and therefore; it may not be so "perfect", although, this is the way I like it. I might re-draw it sometime.. I don't know...
And of course; a huge thanks to for the modifications on the picture! She made this piece look a lot better than it is originally, actually, it is thanks to her that it looks like it's worth submitting. Thank you so much !
The background here is especially lovely - I love the white splatters, although maybe try masking things that you don't want them on. I also love the loose feel of it where the color runs. I don't think it works as well on the bear as it does on the moon and stars, but the overall effect is really quite nice. Try using a wet into wet technique to really play this up. All in all, very nice image!
Wow, thank you so much for making a detailed comment, it's so rare around here. I'm really glad that you've liked it and I also agree with you about the bear. By the way thanks for the advice too, hope I'll improve myself with new techniques !
No problem - I tend to find that even when I beg for advice in the description, people don't give it! Even when I have posted yes or no questions people lots of times don't give a real opinion...go figure, huh?
The butter legion- a socialist movement/mass colab project I started, to trigger artistic change and evolution in Da artists (mainly my watchers), to make them more active and dedicated on DA. Now 170 people strong and growing... A "dangerous cult"? a "new religion"? "artistic version of fight club" or "communist movement"? You decide!
